What is this game? Whatever the hell you make of it. Whatever you want it to be. You want to take over part of a city? You can do that. You want to hang out at the movies with your cross-universe friends? You can do that. You want to go exploring uncharted islands in the sea of fictional genres? Go right ahead. Become a werewolf? Sure. Apprentice yourself to a mad scientist? Totally. Fall in love? Of course. Change your fate? Absolutely.

But what's the genre here? What's the plot? The genre is all and the plot is what you make of it. That CALL device over there plops you into the middle of the Seven-Fold City, which sits at the border between fiction and reality. It's meta as crap. The City of Tomorrow, the City of Shadows, the City of Nightmares, the City of Sorcery, the City of Laughter, the City of Adventure, the City of Romance and a bunch of islands that fill in the gaps give you a load of options, and that's not even counting the stuff that crops up every other week. Use what you like and leave what you don't. Simple as that. Or, you know, as complex as you want. Whichever floats your boat.

Why do I want to app here? You like the idea of building the gamespace with what YOU want, including pieces from your canon? What about 'no power nerf'? Not being locked in the gamespace do it for you? Cross-universe shenanigans? An open cast list? AUs accepted? OCs accepted? Freedom like a PSL or a meme post but interconnected with other players so you've always got fresh hooks and new plot to play with? Optional quests that utilize different skills and strengths? Stop me when you've heard enough. You know. Metaphorically.

ABOUT THE GAME
THE CALLING is a sandboxy, play-to-your-intensity game where your characters get to be heroes, villains, and everything in between in a variety of different genres. There are themed areas for scifi, noir, horror, fantasy, comedy, romance, and adventure available at all times, with the events switched up bi-weekly to keep things fresh (think of those like visiting memes!), as well as varied quests that can offer characters power, opportunity, and more. CR and character growth would be the name of the game if they weren't really awful to try and Google, and we're dedicated to building the game AND the gamespace with the players. Interested? Follow
