Maybe you fell through one of the random portals. Maybe a door you walked through didn't open onto the same room it usually does. Maybe you're one of those who visits here while they're asleep, and just thinks it's a weird dream when they wake. Or maybe you died in your world, and the afterlife just 'misfiled' your paperwork... However it happened, now you're here. So, where is here? A crossroads between dimensions... take a dash of Wonderland, a scoop of the Twilight Zone, a sprinkle of pure chaos, and a half-cup of Leftover Reality. Place it in a blender, puree, and then spread it out really good. Decorate liberally with abandoned buildings, random forests and parks, shops, and more than a few couches, and you'll get the general idea. You (probably) aren't trapped here (except if you are). Sometimes you don't have a question. Sometimes you need more - or less - than six words. Sometimes you just don't want the bother of a formal game with time and plot requirements, don't want your characters trapped in a jar, or don't want to limit yourself to a specific fandom. Or maybe your character is an OC, or AU, or has years of backstory from other games past. Maybe they just plain don't fit in anywhere you've seen.

Now there's a place where none of that is a problem.

Of course, nothing's perfect. Raw chaos means weird things tend to happen here and time and space are a little unstable. Long term residents may lose their ability to be surprised by these things.
