	Welcome to a universe filled with different worlds that know about each other. At first the thought of people living on other worlds was just some rumor spreading around each world. Only the foolish ever believed it, yet the foolish really weren't as dumb as everyone believed them to be. As each gate was opened and then sealed during Sora's journey throughout the worlds, the citizens of each world grew curious about where the boy and his friends came from. With their curiosity growing, they began to look to the stars. They started to try and communicate with each world, and trade routes were formed. Soon, they began to start working on a system of travel so that more than just merchants could go from world to world. Stations housing advanced vehicles--those in the form of trains--popped up in each world. Citizens were able to travel freely between worlds, and tourism grew greatly because of this. All seemed well without the Heartless around. Yet nothing gold can stay. Four months ago, the worlds lost contact with the Pride Lands and Halloween Town. A week later, they lost contact with Wonderland, Neverland, and Atlantica. Slowly, most of the worlds lost their connection with one another. The only worlds unaffected by this were Destiny Islands, Twilight Town, and Hollow Bastion. The gates were closing, not even budging when King Mickey used his Keyblade on them. Utterly devastated by the lost contact, friends, and any family visiting those worlds, the citizens of the three worlds turned to their leaders, looking for an answer. They had nothing to say. Recently, reports of strange shadowy, silver, or blue-tinted creatures have been coming in. The media has been all over the fuzzy phone-taken pictures of the creatures, and the civilians are in an uproar. Are these the creatures that plagued them before, and are they the cause of the gate closures?
We have just opened! Many Canons are available! Dream Drop Distance canon continuinity is disregarded, at least for now.

OR . . . they dredge up on the shore. The boys in the labs at Fontaine Futuristics have really cooked up a doozy this time. They say this Teleport plasmid could end the need for bulky modes of transport, letting you zip from one side of the city to another, but what if you weren't even trying to get into the city at all? It was just an accident, sure, but like it or not, you’re here in Rapture and you’re here to stay. Don’t try to contact the surface and don’t do anything else Mr. Ryan doesn't like, and maybe you’ll make it here okay.

WELCOME TO RAPTURE. ryansgulch is a panfandom game based on the BioShock series, open to fandom characters, original characters, canon and fanmade AU characters, and porting of previous RP experience and CR. Set in the years prior to the events of the first BioShock game, this game will progress through the events leading to Rapture’s downfall and place player characters directly in the middle of the Rapture Civil War. Reserves are currently CLOSED but the Applications are currently OPEN until NOVEMBER 7.
