In the beginning, there was nothing but The First Cosmos. A single universe whose own loneliness was strong enough to break it apart and scatter its pieces across the plane of reality. This created the first multiverse. Through eons, there have been reiterations of the multiverses.

Destruction and renewal.

With each, a new cosmos was formed. The infinity stones are remnants of the First Cosmos and hold immense power. Enough to destroy humanity, destroy realities, and even destroy time. But they also hold the power to create.

They've fallen into the wrong hands countless times.

Have they once more?

Something or someone has caused the space-time continuum to break. The unexpected break has created a massive multi-versal shockwave that has managed to echo through time, space, and reality.

As this chaos begins to fully unwind, tears in reality are being created because of it. People across the multiverse are being transported from their home universes to Earth 616.

The 7th Cosmos.

Not only are realities affected, but time is too. This means people are being pulled from different timelines and different years.

No one knows what has caused this. No one knows how to proceed. All there's left is to adapt and survive.

Marvel Odyssey is a 21+ Discord RP taking place in the Marvel 616 universe. The game incorporates Marvel 616 characters and Marvel characters from alternate universes (the MCU/XMCU) being dropped in the 616 universe, against their will, and for unknown reasons.

Exactly ten years have passed since the last Sorceress War. Not only have Squall Leonhart and his team gone on to become public figures in their respective fields of expertise, but the world itself has flourished. Esthar, the once reclusive technological marvel, lowers its cloaking devices in a show of faith to the rest of the world; the absence of Deling City's once tyrannical stronghold over the Galbadian continent allows the passion for transportation and telecommunication to make their triumphant return. A formerly sparse world map sees the reconstruction of towns desiccated by the strains of military occupation, and new settlements seem to pop up overnight.

People, however, are never far from conflict. Vinzer Deling was by no means the only man hungry for power, and the last decade has given rise to countless others poised for global domination. Religious zealots known as Hyne's Descendants decry the use of magic and Guardian Forces by those unworthy, and are rumored to have found ways of tampering with natural draw points to poison its users. Finally a group of concerned citizens, calling themselves Cultivators, advocate for the reformation or complete dismantling of Balamb, Galbadia and Trabia. In the absence of a Sorceress threat they are convinced Garden is but a breeding ground for trained mercenaries at the beck and call of the highest bidder.

Of course, those closely affiliated with the Gardens know that its services are needed now more than ever. A changing world leads to civil unrest, and there are fires big and small to be put out. Their mission statement may have begun with the protection of innocents against Sorceresses, but it certainly hasn't ended there. Our story carries on and the state of the future is still yet to be determined.

junctioned is a Final Fantasy VIII game set ten years after the fall of Ultimecia. It centers around Balamb Garden's staff and student body, with opportunities for further characterization elsewhere. We allow canon FFVIII characters, characters from other Final Fantasy games that can be edited to fit the setting, and original characters.

We've also got a couple of open slots for FF8 characters like Selphie, Irvine, Edea and Raijin! Check our wanted board for sought after lines and characters.

Ludosium RP is a paragraph-style roleplay group, and yes, you are required to fill out an application to join. There is no limit to the amount of people that can join, and you can have any kind of character you want so long as they follow the rules and are moderator-approved.

Ludosium RP takes place in a post-apocalyptic world in the city of Prosumine, run by a strict and harsh dictator. Recently, stories have been popping up about a far away heaven-on-Earth sort of place known as “Ludosium.”, But there’s one problem.

Beyond the city walls, the wasteland is vast and teeming with monsters of all kinds. Mutants, bloodthirsty creatures, and zombies are just a few of the dangers that await on your journey to Ludosium.

Ludosium RP is set in a post-apocalyptic future with two main locations. The City and the Wasteland.

The City:

The city of Prosumine (Pro-soo-mean), Arizona is the main location, and one of the last and biggest safe-havens left in the United States. It is heavily populated and heavily guarded. No-one is ever seen going in or out of the city.

The Wasteland:

Outside the city walls, a barren wasteland stretches as far as the eye can see. Infested with mutant creatures, zombies, and bloodthirsty animals that would rip even the strongest man to shreds; hardly anyone survives outside of the havens. Can you?

dcu6wordstories is a dressing room game for DC/Vertigo/Milestone/Wildstorm universe characters. Set in a hole in the multiverse known as the Hub, characters from different universes and timelines meet and mingle with no app or preparation beyond a simple DreamWidth character account. Just make a character and play! The only requirement for suitable characters is that your posts be exactly 6 words - no more, no less. (Your comments, of course, can be however long you want.)

Setting details: The Hub is a patchwork place. The last stop beyond the 52 (or more?) worlds of the multiverse. You’ve slipped through the cracks of your universe, and fallen into ours.

The Hub is, in general, a gracious host, but it has its own little quirks. The place seems almost alive, and frowns on death and violence in general - though, on occasion, events may conspire to allow such unpleasantness. Still, many may find the Hub has an oddly pacifying effect, allowing even the bitterest of enemies to banter instead of brawl. Some may also find that the instability of the Hub leads to strange happenings now and again, which people choose to ignore… mostly.

In general, the Hub is fairly self-conscious, and would prefer to be left out of most conversations. Fortunately, the Hub provides a handy Bulletin Board in all locations, informing newcomers of what’s up so they can easily skip the disorientation and join the fun. And what fun there is, because the Hub seems quite determined to encourage people with little reason to talk to each other to sit down and have a chat. Conversations can be avoided with ease, certainly, but now and again, it’s nice to give in to the impulse to just join in a conversation and talk to someone new, isn’t it?

To cut through the fluff text: violence is acceptable, but letting things spiral into violence can really kill fun conversation possibilities, so be sparing with it. Newcomers can wonder at the Hub, but feeling the need to make an obligatory introduction post can get somewhat tiring, so go ahead and jump in with any old post if you don’t see the Hub tour being particularly exciting. Casual chatter or silly events, such as Stephanie Brown complaining about homework, or Lois Lane asking you random questions, or a giant Batwoman wedding where everyone is inexplicably invited, are encouraged, and characters with no ties to the original character are encouraged to tag for the hell of it. Remember - we’re all here to have fun, lighthearted RP, so feel free to set up plots with other posters, but never feel like you can’t have completely unassociated or even overtly hostile characters making small talk.

What is allowed:

--Any canon characters from any DC/Vertigo/Milestone/Wildstorm title.

-Canon characters from the DC/Marvel Amalgam Universe.

-DCAU canon characters.

-Any canon character from any adaptation of a DC/Vertigo/Milestone/Wildstorm title. (Movies, TV shows, animated)

-Elseworlds/canon alternate Earth versions of any canon DC/Vertigo/Milestone/Wildstorm title.

-Non-canon AU versions of canon DC/Vertigo/Milestone/Wildstorm characters. (Pre-Crisis, genderswapped, never died, ongoing fanfiction universes, etc.) If you are playing a character from an ongoing fanon universe, you must have the writer’s permission to play that character, or, if the universe is collaborative, be permitted to play that character by someone who is a writer in that universe. We’re not going to go around “checking IDs” here, but if we get a PM from a writer whose universe you have been using without permission, banhammers will be dropped.

What is not allowed:

-Original characters.

-Canon characters from universes other than DC/Vertigo/Milestone/Wildstorm and their media adaptations.

-Personal journals.

Welcome to the world of Hellgate!

One moment you were going about with your life; living, fighting, loving. The next, as you walked through a doorway, a portal, got out of the car, stepped off the train, tried to get from point A to point B, you fell. Or that’s what it felt like! A sudden dragging pull, a feeling like you’ve left your stomach behind in freefall, and then you land.

Knee deep in mud, in a quiet corner of New York City’s Central Park.

At least it’s a soft landing?

As you try to catch your breath and not lose your lunch, the mud in front of you boils as something rises from the depths.

Bulbous orange eyes perched on top of the head like a frog, a scaly body like an alligator’s grown to larger-than-human, and a wide slash of a mouth full of black serrated teeth. The creature stands seven foot tall, with the fetid breath of a predator, and in its cold eyes is murder.

It grins, and hands you a cell-phone.

“You get a three minute headstart,” it says, in a low gravelly voice with a terrible New Yawk accent. “After that, I get to eat you.”

With incentive like that, you’d better start running.

Application

Hellgate is set in New York in the universe of the Cal Leadros by Rob Thurman, a rather obscure book series. By no means do you need to know the series to play. All you really need to know is that you've been thrown into a world where Supernatural beings are real. People are being dropped into this universe via odd little gates that no one can explain or stop.

There will be an over arcing plot supplemented by a seasonal plot and player driven plots, but nothing is mandatory. You're free to play more to the slice-of-life elements of the game, or the solve the problem, save the town elements, or just go your own way. Please just okay major plots or destruction with the mods.

The game will be open to the general public July 1st, but if you'd like to get the flavor of the game a little early, the cast of the Cal Leandros Universe will be playing out the first appearance of the gates bringing people from other worlds, so you're welcome to stick around and see how things develop while you decide who to play or if this is the game for you while you work on your app! :D

There was life and there was technology... man could only think of ways to strengthening the bond between these two things. They tried several projects, they created game systems, virtual realities for them to live in. They used technology in everyday task to eat and to move from one place to another. This would eventually not be enough for man... man wanted to become one with technology, man wanted to become capable of doing things that a man should never be capable of doing. They began to develop a new form of technology one that would accomplish their goals... a forbidden technology that would drain the earth of its natural resources more than any of mans projects. Quote:Little Bang: A theory turned reality using the concept of a possible big bang. Chemicals created by humans that polluted the earth that would attract and pull one another to cause the four fundamentals of force to occur in a single area that would result in an explosion that would create a bionic cell and a miniature sun. The cell would envelop the sun and use it as a power source, to multiply. The cells would then need to grab a hold of something to bind it to the earth, in most cases... the cells would become plant life, but on rare occasions... the cells would grab a hold of something different they would grab a hold of some old form of technology... a flashlight, an electric fan, a microwave, a radio, or a camera. (Use your imagination) The cells would then breath life into the object... powering it and giving it a mind a heart, emotions... the bionic cells were not only plant cells... they were human as well. Man never saw the fruit of this project, as it did not complete itself until after they were already wiped out. During man's very last moments he sent out a transmission and this transmission was heard by every single one of the creations of this unique occurrence.

The Great Transmission

"The dates and times for this event is recorded in this transmission, I am the last of my crew and we have done all we can to suspend them in animation me being the last of many there is nothing else I can do... but issue out this message left behind by my commander..."

The Leader Vez - These were the dying words of the last human being on the planet... the messages were heard by every sentient on the planet.... and while the messages were recorded the direct coding was not. For the past three years after that transmission we have lived in fear and that ship grows ever closer. We have spent the last few years aimlessly searching for the coding in the original message, with hopes of preventing this tragedy, and through our searches we have made remarkable breakthroughs in terms of self development and upgrades. Learned the ways of the humans and recreated their way of life. Under the instruction of our leader Vez, we crafted a city, and followed that up we went out to find our destinies. In our destinies lies an end to our struggle...

There is a darkness over our homes, a darkness that we cannot avoid. It is created by that ship and the threat that lives on it. I vow as your leader to end this threat and save our home by all means.
