☞ Ryan’s Gulch ☜ |
ALL GOOD THINGS OF THIS EARTH flow into the city. You’ve been hand-selected by Andrew Ryan’s top vetting teams to take part in a grand social experiment, perhaps the salvation of modern mankind as we know it — but to accept his invitation is to take a leap of faith and great personal sacrifice. Will you continue to suffer the slings and arrows of lesser-minded men who seek to undermine your labor and take all you’ve earned, or will you escape the surface for a second chance beneath the waves, a new opportunity in the underwater city of Rapture? |
OR . . . they dredge up on the shore. The boys in the labs at Fontaine Futuristics have really cooked up a doozy this time. They say this Teleport plasmid could end the need for bulky modes of transport, letting you zip from one side of the city to another, but what if you weren't even trying to get into the city at all? It was just an accident, sure, but like it or not, you’re here in Rapture and you’re here to stay. Don’t try to contact the surface and don’t do anything else Mr. Ryan doesn't like, and maybe you’ll make it here okay. |
WELCOME TO RAPTURE. |

♠ It’s May 5, 1998, England is trying to piece itself back together and is failing in only the way that it can. In this dark comedy of errors, there is great potential for progress, should the right people step into the right offices, but there is even greater potential for economic turmoil, foolish backsliding, and nefarious plotters stepping forward to take the reigns of power (only drive the country more firmly into the ground). All the while, the outside world is watching from its safe distance, waiting to see if the Brits can do anything right on their own. ♥ House of Cards is a Harry Potter post-DH game where some characters are looking to survive, while others want to thrive, and others still just want to watch the world burn. The fate of everyone stands in the balance, and three vacant seats are about to be filled by those who will determine what frightfully ambiguous delights the future will have in store for everyone else. ♠ We invite you to this ill-fated little party; may England’s poor fortune smile upon you. ♥ The future of England rests with you; do try to choose wisely. | ||||
